White Noise and 8 Dollar-Saving Travel Advice for 2013

The term "white noise" applies to low-level background sound produced by mixed frequencies, and is released to a noisy environment by a white noise machine.  Lack of sleep due to noise is a big deterrent to travels.  Others complain of missing sleep due to strange surroundings.  A white noise machine masks noise and provides a sense of familiarity to an otherwise unfamiliar hotel room.  With a white noise machine in your carry-on bag, you will never pass up with the chance to see the world!

Why Travel?

As soon as the dust of the New Year’s revelry settles back to the ground and you wonder what 2013 has in store for you, remember this 6-letter word:  travel.  Do not deny yourself the ultimate privilege to know the world from a different perspective.  Textbooks offer great information, but only travels can fill in the excitement that makes learning an enriching experience.

Don’t get caught up with the usual alibi of not having money for travel.  You can do better than that!  If you set out on a course to provide yourself the chance to see the world, one country at a time, you will discover that you can find a way.  As wisdom of old says, “what the mind can conceive, the body can achieve.”

Pointers for a Cost-Efficient Travel

1.      Book your flights early.  You always get a good deal when you don’t book late.

2.      Travel during off season.  Airfare and various accommodation offer discounts during off-peak season.  Find out when is your destination’s peak and lean months, so you can plan your travel around those times when few travelers go, and enjoy big discounts in the process.

3.      Avail of tour packages.  Travel companies always outdo and outsmart one another, so take advantage of promo tours that offer slashed prices to win more customers.

5.      Travel light.  Excess baggage comes with a price.

6.      Book an apartment.  If you travel as a family or as a group, apartments will save you money.  Most apartments are equipped with all the amenities of a house; you can cook your own food, do the laundry, etc.

7.      Sign up for email alerts.  They can help.  Airline companies provide first-hand information regarding promo fares to people in their mailing list.  You can use this to your advantage.

8.      Get the online advantage.  Compare airline fares, accommodation rates, and find out other incidental travel requirements of your destination without leaving your seat.  This saves you a lot of gas.  Get involved in travel forums to know what to expect, and gather insights on how you can travel without breaking the bank.

Lastly,  bring a white noise machine for travel. If you travel on a budget, you obviously won’t have the longer stick when it comes to choosing your accommodation.  Don’t worry.  A white noise machine can always turn any room into an oasis of peace and quiet.  This portable and lightweight gadget produces “white noise” that effectively and uniformly masks intruding noise.
